SUMMARY:Gaming\, Gambling\, and Problematic Media & Internet Use (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:ARE YOU GAMBLING WITH YOUR FUTURE? \nGaming can be fun\, but it can also be risky. Although video games may seem harmless\, the risks aren’t. Many video games imitate real-life gambling behaviors. Youth who gamble before age 12 are 4 times more likely to develop gambling problems later in life. It’s important to recognize if gaming or gambling is starting to interfere with your life. \nAttend a virtual one-hour workshop to learn more about how to keep gaming fun and to increase your knowledge about its connection to youth gambling. \nWho Should Attend: \n• Youth \n• Parents/Caregivers \n• Youth Serving Professionals \n• Anyone interested in learning more! \nRegistered today at https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/dXSNLkDJSOu3gcapff04cA \nQuestions? Contact Wendy Hunt at whunt@pwcgov.org or (703) 792-3837
