DESCRIPTION:Design a bookmark around the theme “The Loudest Library.” The bookmark contest form is available here\, on the library website and at the Chinn Park Mini Library or Montclair Library. \n\n\n\n\n\n\nThe contest runs from January 2 to March 12\, 2026. \nThe bookmarks of the first-place winners (one for each grade\, K through 5) and the grand prize winner’s bookmark will be printed and available at the library in early summer.\nThe Grand Prize Winner will also receive an autographed copy of “Orson and the World’s Loudest Library” by local author Laura Gehl.\nPrizes will be awarded at the Talking to the Author presentation at Montclair Library on Saturday\, April 11th at 2:00 p.m.\, with special guest Laura Gehl. \n\n\n\nFunded by the Friends of the Library

DESCRIPTION:Do you know how to help someone who has overdosed on opioids? \nOverdoses can happen in unexpected situations and to anyone: a friend\, a family member\, a coworker\, at home\, outside\, or in a public place. You may not know that someone is at risk of overdose-everyone should be prepared. \nPrince William  Community Services offers free workshops that provide the knowledge and confidence you need to potentially save a life during an opioid overdose emergency. During this 60-minute class\, presented by a qualified instructor from the Wellness and Prevention team\, you will learn: \n\nHow to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.\nHow to administer naloxone nasal spray to potentially reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.\nOther knowledge needed to fully respond to an opioid overdose emergency (what to do and not do).\n\nPlease visit https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/Wy62tYqSRSiiyJojHPRaag to register. \nPlease contact CSPrevention@pwcgov.org or 571-641-7019 with any questions. DESCRIPTION:The Prince William County Planning Commission is a panel of eight citizens appointed by the Board of County Supervisors to advise the Board on land use and development issues in the County. Unless specified otherwise\, meetings occur twice a month at the Prince William County James J. McCoart Administration Building. Generally\, Planning Commission work sessions commence at 6:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers\, agenda review commences at 6:45 p.m. in the Potomac Conference Room\, and public hearings commence at 7:00 p.m. in the Board Chambers. The meetings are open to the public. Dates or locations may be subject to change or cancellation based on need and/or changing circumstances. \n*A link for live streaming of the Planning Commission hearings and work session will appear at the top of this web page when the meeting begins. \n\nUPCOMING PUBLIC HEARINGS\, WORK SESSIONS & EVENTS\nIf a member of the public would like to comment on an agenda item or other County business but does not want or is unable to attend a meeting in person\, they may register here to speak remotely during Public Comment time or on scheduled cases.
