DESCRIPTION:Interested in applying for one of Prince William County’s Arts Grants? \nAttend the workshop on Wednesday\, April 8\, 2026\, at 5:30 p.m. for a workshop at Department of Parks & Recreation Headquarters\, George Hellwig Memorial Park\, 14420 Bristow Road\, Manassas. \nAttendance at the annual grant workshop is mandatory for grant writers of the applying organization submitting their first grant application. \nApplication will open on Thursday\, April 9 and stay open until Thursday\, April 30 when they will close at 4 p.m. All applications MUST be submitted in full by the deadline to be reviewed by the Grant Panel for funding. \nWhat type of grants are available?\nPrince William County offers two types of arts grants\, the General Operating Grant and the New & Emerging Grant. \nGeneral Operating Grant\nThe General Operating Grant supports arts organizations of artistic merit by providing funding to advance their mission. It offers core operating support in recognition of the valuable programs and services they provide to the greater Prince William community\, while helping sustain these organizations and ensure diverse artistic experiences for residents. \nNew & Emerging Grant\nThe New & Emerging Grant is available to provide seed money to new and emerging arts organizations that are less than three (3) years old. The New & Emerging Grants aim to provide operating support to new arts organizations that offer valuable services to the community. Priority is given to those with high artistic quality\, effective management\, fundraising efforts\, and community engagement. \nPlease note that applicants may apply for only one of the two grants. \nWho is eligible for the grants?\nGeneral Operating Grants are open to organizations who:\n\nHave 501(c)3 non-profit status.\nAre registered with Guidestar.org.\nAre based in the Greater Prince William Area.\nMeet basic eligibility as per the PWC Arts Grants General Policies.\n\nNew & Emerging Grants are open to organizations who:\n\nMeet basic eligibility as per the PWC Arts Grants General Policies.\nHave been established for 3 years or less.\nHave applied for 501(c)3 status and comply with non-discrimination laws.\n\nAll nonprofit arts organizations in the greater Prince William County area\, to include City of Manassas and Manassas Park\, are encouraged to attend the workshop on April 8 as a refresher for the policies and the procedures\, to get updates on any application changes from last year\, to ensure they have updated deadlines and can ask questions before they apply. \nClick here for more information.
