SUMMARY:Dumpster Day: Featuring Glass Recycling & "Too Good to Toss"
DESCRIPTION:This Dumpster Day\, save a trip to the landfill! Supervisor Boddye is partnering with Prince William County Public Works to make it convenient to dispose of old furniture\, yard waste\, and non-hazardous items\, setting up dumpsters at the Lake Ridge Commuter Lot on Minnieville. We’ll also collect glass recycling (cleaned bottles and jars only)\, and B-Thrifty will accept items that are “too good to toss” through its Project B Green campaign. It’s a great time for a community cleanup — click here for tips on organizing one in your neighborhood. \nPlease note\, we cannot accept the following items: \n\nFuel tanks or drums\nMotor oil\nHousehold hazardous waste (this includes paint thinners)\nElectronics (dispose of these at the landfill on Wednesdays and Saturdays\, free of charge)\nAntifreeze\nPool chemicals\nConstruction material\n\nAppliances should be cleaned and emptied\, including removing glass trays from microwaves. Doors should be sealed with tape. For more information on proper disposal\, contact 703-792-5750.
