DESCRIPTION:Prince William-Stafford 4-H Junior Camp\nDates: July 19 – 23\nLocation: Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center\, Front Royal\nWho Should Attend: Youth ages 9-14 with preference given to residents of Prince William and Stafford Counties and the cities of Manassas\, Manassas Park\, and Fredericksburg.\nCamp Fee: $395\nRegistration opens March 1st. May 1st \n4-H Junior Camp is a five-day\, four-night camp for youth ages 9-14 held at the Northern Virginia 4-H Educational Center in Front Royal\, Virginia. Youth explore new interests\, enjoy swimming and recreation and participate in evening activities and campfires. \nSave the Date: First Time Camper & Parent Orientation Meeting: July 6th\, 7:00 pm\, via Zoom. Returning counselors are invited/encouraged to join in to share insights with new camper families. \n  \nPrince William 4-H Fair Camp\nDates: August 3-7th –Please note this is one week earlier than previous years!\nTime: 9 AM – 12:30 PM\, Monday – Friday\nLocation: Prince William County Fairgrounds\nWho Should Attend: greater Prince William area youth ages 5-1\nCamp Fee: $60 (includes activities\, snack\, and t-shirt)\nRegistration opens March 1st. DESCRIPTION:07:00 PM – 08:30\nVirtual Event\n\n\n\n\nChildhood experiences\, both positive and negative\, have a tremendous impact on future development\, lifelong health\, and opportunity. Learning more about Adverse Childhood Experiences\, referred to as ACEs\, is important to not only prevent this toxic stress from occurring within our community but also to better support individuals who experienced trauma in childhood. Join the Community Service’s Wellness and Prevention Team in learning more about the science of relationships and the healing power of hope and resilience. \nParticipants will be able to increase their knowledge of: \n1. The impacts of childhood adversity and developmental trauma on individuals and as a public health issue \n2. Identifying and addressing adverse childhood experiences (ACEs)\n3. The neurobiological effects of adversity on development\n4. How ACEs can impact an individual’s mental and physical health\n5.
