SUMMARY:Multicultural Night at WSHS
DESCRIPTION:WSHS SALC will be hosting our annual Multicultural Night Celebration on Saturday\, February 15th\, 2020. The event will take place from 6-10 PM\, with tickets costing $5 for students and $7 for outside guests. Non-School-Age children may enter free of charge. Multicultural Night consists of four primary components to showcase the diversity of heritage\, experience\, and talent across the WSHS student population. Please see below for further information on the specific components and order of events. \nTaste of Nations and Cultural Booths\n*Open to officially recognized WSHS clubs and individual WSHS staff members.\nStudent Clubs and Activities will register to provide samples of world cuisine\, as well as provide information regarding the impact that various cultures have made on our contemporary world. Samples are free\, however\, we invite you to make any donations to individual student clubs and activities if you are able. Booths will be set-up throughout the main lobby\, and seating will be available in the upper cafeteria. \nParade of Nations\n*Open to WSHS ELL students and members of Foreign Language clubs\nCelebrate the wonderful international representation from our English Language Learner population. Countries will be highlighted as students process through the auditorium in moving ceremony that showcases the Woodbridge Senior High School’s commitment to its history of diversity. \nSpecial Performances\n*Open to all interested WSHS students\nSelect students will demonstrate specific talents rooted in their cultural background as they show the impact that their heritage has on the performing arts. \nFashion Show\n*Open to all interested WSHS students\nThe evening will conclude with a display of cultural dress and fashion as students march through the gym\, demonstrating the dress that makes their culture unique.
