DESCRIPTION:Friday\, April 24 – 8:30 a.m.- 4:00 p.m. \nGMU – Science and Technology Campus \n10900 University Blvd.\, Manassas\, VA 20110 \n  \nRegister Here: Harm Reduction Workshop \nTHE OFFICE OF COMMUNITY SAFETY IS CONNECTING ORGANIZATIONS WORKING TO REDUCE HARM IN PRINCE WILLIAM COUNTY. \nThis Harm Reduction Workshop\, hosted by the Office of Community Safety in partnership with the National Institute for Criminal Justice Reform (NICJR)\, will convene local government\, community organizations\, and frontline providers to explore opportunities for stronger collaboration and more effective community-based responses. \n\nExamine both government and stakeholder initiatives to explore service gaps.\nDiscover opportunities for increased coordination and collaboration.\nUnderstand the full scope and drivers of community safety through clear\, data‑driven analysis.\nStrengthen coordination across agencies and community partners using a mapped and assessed harm reduction ecosystem.\nQuantify the financial impact of safety-related incidents to inform policy and resource allocation.\nHelp implement consistent\, high‑quality internal processes through SOPs\, KPIs\, and data systems.\nEnhance the effectiveness of outreach and intervention staff with clear protocols and performance standards.\nAdvance a strategic\, evidence‑based harm reduction framework that improves safety and outcomes for County residents.\n\nNICJR works nationally to reduce harm and strengthen the capacity of organizations serving these communities. This Harm Reduction Workshop is designed to equip local government and stakeholders with the tools\, insights\, and protocols necessary to strengthen community safety efforts.
