DESCRIPTION:Do you know how to help someone who has overdosed on opioids? \nOverdoses can happen in unexpected situations and to anyone: a friend\, a family member\, a coworker\, at home\, outside\, or in a public place. You may not know that someone is at risk of overdose-everyone should be prepared. \nPrince William Community Services offers free workshops that provide the knowledge and confidence you need to potentially save a life during an opioid overdose emergency. During this 60-minute class\, presented by a qualified instructor from the Wellness and Prevention team\, you will learn: \n\nHow to recognize the signs and symptoms of an opioid overdose.\nHow to administer naloxone nasal spray to potentially reverse the effects of an opioid overdose.\nOther knowledge needed to fully respond to an opioid overdose emergency (what to do and not do).\n\nPlease visit https://us06web.zoom.us/meeting/register/Wy62tYqSRSiiyJojHPRaag to register. \nPlease contact CSPrevention@pwcgov.org or 571-641-7019 with any questions.
