Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) 2026 Symposium
In recognition of Sexual Assault Awareness Month (SAAM) 2026, the “Looking Back, Moving Forward — 25 Years of Sexual Assault Awareness” symposium will bring together community leaders, advocates, service providers, and residents to deepen awareness, strengthen partnerships, and explore strategies that support survivors and prevent sexual violence.
Attendees will hear survivor stories, local experts, professionals working in victim advocacy, prevention, and community services. The day will include informative presentations, discussions on resources available in Prince William County, and opportunities to connect with organizations committed to supporting survivors and promoting safer communities.
This event will highlight the importance of reflecting on the progress made over the past 25 years while continuing to move forward with renewed commitment to education, prevention, and survivor-centered support.
