Balancing Privacy with Safety: Tech Town Hall
Whether you see surveillance technologies such as Flock and Axon as valuable tools for public safety or have concerns about their implications for privacy and transparency, or straddle those lines, Supervisors Kenny Boddye and Andrea Bailey want to hear from you.
Join the Supervisors and Senator Jennifer Carroll Foy for a virtual town hall exploring the use of surveillance technologies like automated license plate readers, drones, body cameras, and red-light cameras. Invited panelists include representatives from the Prince William County Police Department, NAACP, and ACLU of Virginia. You’ll have an opportunity to learn how these technologies are used locally, hear different perspectives, ask questions, and share your own concerns and ideas to help inform future decisions about these technologies.
Join the conversation and help inform the balance between public safety and privacy in Prince William County. Click to RSVP.
