VDOT wants to hear from you! View the video below and submit feedback by July 17, on a STARS (Strategically Targeted Affordable Roadway Solutions) study assessing potential safety and operational improvements for the intersection of Prince William Parkway (Route 294) and Old Bridge Road, as well as about half a mile of Prince William Parkway between Laurel Hills Drive and Kenwood Drive, and about a quarter-mile of Old Bridge Road between Prince William Parkway and Titania Way.
The Prince William Parkway and Old Bridge Road intersection experiences congestion in the morning and evening peak periods. Within the study limits, Prince William Parkway averages up to 50,000 vehicles a day and Old Bridge Road averages 35,000.

Potential improvements to other signalized intersections within the study area include flashing yellow arrows, high visibility signal backplates and pedestrian improvements.
This study does not set construction dates for any of the alternatives. The purpose of this study is to develop proposed improvements that localities can pursue for funding, and to consider including in their comprehensive plans.
