PFLAG PWC Youth and Parent/Adult Community Group Meetings
February 18 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
Metro DC PFLAG helps keep families together and promotes equality and the well-being of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and questioning (LGBTQ) people and their families through support, education, and advocacy. Founded in 1983, we are a nonprofit, nonpartisan, volunteer organization.
PFLAG PWC hosts community group meetings once a month for youth and parents/adults.
The youth group is for LGBTQ and ally youth ages 12-19 and focuses on providing a safe and fun environment for youth to be their authentic selves and also share ideas and struggles with other LGBTQ youth in the county. Every youth group meeting is facilitated by at least two PFLAG facilitators.
The parents and adult group is primarily for parents of LGBTQ children (of any age) who are looking for support, belonging, and community. All are welcome to come participate at PFLAG meetings. Every parent group meeting is facilitated by at least one PFLAG facilitator.
