The Prince William / Manassas / Manassas Park Transition Council Is Hosting The 21st Annual Transition Fair
Saturday, March 20, 2021 at 11 a.m.
The Transition Fair is the perfect opportunity for those interested in learning about school and community resources that aid students with disabilities prepare for life after high school. The Transition Fair continues to bring community agencies and organizations together to provide students and their families information about a variety of transition support services. The Transition Fair focuses on students who receive special education services through Prince William County, Manassas, and Manassas Park Public Schools.
Due to current events, this year’s Transition Fair will be held virtually. The Transition Fair will start with a keynote session on Transition Services in Prince William County Public Schools. After the keynote presentation, sessions related Social Security, graduation requirements, Guardianship, Department of Aging and Rehabilitation Services, Special Needs Estate Planning, Prince William County Community Services, and so much more will be available for you to watch online at your convenience. The mission of Transition Services? To provide innovative, high quality transition support services to students with disabilities. Emphasis is placed on developing the student’s self-determination and those skills necessary for achieving successful post-secondary outcomes. Outcomes may include, but are not limited to, independent living, vocational training, employment and post-secondary education. All services will be provided in a manner consistent with student-centered planning and will reflect the student’s unique characteristics, talents, interests, and desires.
