To bring senior center-style programming, resources, and connection directly into the community, ensuring no older adult is left behind.
Who is Served
Older adults who face barriers to accessing traditional senior centers, including those with mobility challenges, transportation limitations, health concerns, or caregiving responsibilities.
Prince William Area Agency on Aging has created a new and exciting opportunity by expanding programs directly into neighborhoods, where they can reach significantly more older adults who currently face barriers to participation. This approach aligns with national best practices in aging services and responds directly to community feedback.
Aging is actively reviewing potential community locations to host programming across the County. Programming will be phased in and continuously adjusted based on participation and community feedback.
