A little rain couldn’t stop the 5th Annual Barktoberfest on Oct. 3, 2026! Thank you to everyone who braved the wet weather to join us at Tackett’s Mill and celebrate the pets of Prince William — and the people and organizations who care for them. Pets and their people met neighbors, connected with animal rescues and pet resources, snapped fall photos, and enjoyed a few treats along the way.
And some great connections were made: two pups from Prince William County Animal Services found their new families, To The Rescue collected applications from prospective adopters, and Beagle Rescue, Education and Welfare — BREW — connected with potential foster families. Meanwhile, Dave’s Dogs kept everyone well-fed. Hot dogs were a big hit in the chilly rain. The pets in their fall finest were also a big hit. If you haven’t yet, visit Facebook to vote on your favorites in our Pet Costume Contest (voting closes at 11:59 PM on Friday, Oct. 16).
Thanks to all of our exhibitors, volunteers, attendees and four-legged guests who made the day so much fun. See you next year!
