Chronic Disease Self-Management: Free Virtual Workshop

Prince William Area Agency on Aging is excited to offer another Free virtual workshop for Chronic Disease Self-Management. You can join the workshop from your own home or any place of your choosing! This is an evidence based program that offers various tools and skills to aid in managing our health conditions on a daily basis and help us live a better quality of life. Some tools include problem solving, decision making and action planning. We also offer tools for physical activity, healthy eating, understanding emotions and communication with our healthcare providers and family.
Each workshop session is once a week for 2 and half hours and occurs for 6 weeks. Each participant will receive a FREE book and relaxation CD. At the end of the workshop, each participant who attends 4 or more of the 6 weeks will receive a certificate. A laptop, computer or phone each with a microphone and camera are needed to participate in this workshop. The Session Zero mentioned on the flyer occurs before the actual first session of the workshop so we can make sure your device will successfully work with the virtual platform.
Classes begin March 24 and will meet virtually once a week for 6 weeks.
