Let’s Walk & Talk Wellness

Let’s Walk & Talk Wellness

The Prevention Alliance of Greater Prince William was founded in 1996 by a group of concerned residents and professionals focused on preventing substance abuse and promoting mental health and healthy behaviors. All members are dedicated to the achievement of a united mission and vision through cross-sector collaboration and action-oriented collaboration.

In honor of National Mental Health Awareness Month, the Prince William Trails and Streams Coalition (PWTSC) and Greater Prince William Trails Coalition (GPWTC) have partnered with us to support you with wellness messages at nine of our county trail locations. We hope you will take this opportunity to walk & talk about wellness, share positive wellness messages on our community board and submit trail photos for a chance to win wellness prizes, and learn about local resources, workshops, and services that can help support you on your journey to wellness! Prizes include packages from Orangetheory Fitness, Retro Fitness, Subway, The Vertical Rock, Home Depot, The Skate N’ Fun Zone, Planet Fitness, REI, and many more.

In the Occoquan District signs are already posted at the Chinn Park Trail and Lake Ridge Park (the Occoquan Greenway), but participants may go to any participating trail.
