“Even with the challenges of the past year, we continue to welcome new businesses and jobs to the Occoquan District of Prince William County,” said Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye.
Christina Winn, Executive Director of the Prince William County Department of Economic Development shared his sentiment: “Economic development is alive and well in Occoquan District, and we are excited about the new businesses and entrepreneurs opening their doors in 2021.”
A Pediatric Urgent Care and a Food Hall are among the businesses opening in the Occoquan District in 2021, along with a state-of-the-art five-story Kaiser Permanente medical center that will serve to anchor The Landing at Prince William, a mixed-use, transit-oriented plan for flanked by I-95 and commuter hubs. The $200 million Kaiser project will house over 450 employees and include services such as a comprehensive maternal care program, multidisciplinary cancer care and behavioral health.
“The need for additional healthcare infrastructure has never been greater, and new food and retail establishments remind us of the resilience of the entrepreneurial spirit. I look forward to these additions to our local economy,” said Boddye.
