Gander Mountain Will Again Serve As A “Community Vaccination Clinic”

The former Gander Mt. store at 14011 Worth Avenue in Woodbridge will once again begin serving as a Prince William Health District Community Vaccination Clinic (CVC), starting Thursday, Oct.7. It will be open from 10 am to 7:30 pm, Monday through Saturday. Vaccinations are free, and done by appointment.

The site will serve Virginians who qualify for a booster shot of Pfizer-BioNTech, as well as those who require a first or second dose. Current data suggests that the immunocompromised, those over 65+ and residents in long-term care settings could benefit from boosters at this time. At this time, a booster is not indicated for healthy individuals under age 65.

Eligible residents may begin making appointments by visiting vaccinate.virginia.gov or calling 877-VAX-IN-VA (877-829-4682, TTY users call 7-1-1). Assistance is available in English, Spanish, and more than 100 other languages.

Once an appointment is scheduled, the Health District asks that patients:

  • Do not arrive more than 20 minutes prior to the appointment time. Early entrance will not be granted.
  • Bring their COVID-19 vaccine card or vaccine record with QR code. Patients may get copies of their records at vaccinate.virginia.gov.
  • Bring a government-issued photo ID.

Vaccination remains the best way to end the pandemic and unvaccinated individuals are at the highest risk of severe illness due to COVID-19 (read more at the Centers for Disease Control). Everyone 12 or older who lives or works in Virginia is eligible to be vaccinated. Click here to learn more about COVID-19 in Virginia.
