Occoquan District Supervisor Kenny Boddye was back in Richmond on February 6, this time joined by his fellow Board members for VACo’s (Virginia Association of Counties) “Local Government Day.” The annual event is an opportunity for our local representatives to advocate on behalf of Prince William residents and discuss the County’s Legislative Agenda, which includes calls for restructuring the SMART Scale scoring method and for the Commonwealth to fully fund its share of K-12 education. VACo also provided reports on the major issues facing local government in the 2020 General Assembly Session.
After a full day of strengthening the relationship between County and state government, Supervisor Boddye took the opportunity to hear from our local business community, during a dinner hosted by the Prince William Chamber of Commerce.
