Every summer, across neighborhoods big and small, something remarkable happens: porches light up, grills sizzle, and people step outside to meet, mingle, and celebrate together. This isn’t just any ordinary evening — it’s National Night Out, an annual event dedicated to fostering community spirit and strengthening the relationship between residents and local law enforcement. And we are honored to be part of it once again.
On Tuesday, Aug. 4, we will join members of the Prince William County Police Department for this annual event, which invites people to spend an evening outside together, encouraging healthy neighborhoods block-by-block by helping neighbors know one another, celebrate community, and take steps to make neighborhoods safer, together. In the Occoquan District, a motorcade with members of the Police Department and Sheriff’s Office will travel to the following neighborhoods at the approximate times:
4:30 p.m.
Meet at Rockledge Elementary (2300 Mariner Lane, Woodbridge)
4:35 p.m.
Depart for Clipper Drive
5:00 p.m.
Cookout at Westminster at Lake Ridge (12191 Clipper Drive)
5:50 p.m.
Activities at PWCCOA (4799 Wermuth Way, Woodbridge)
By stepping outside together, we take the first step toward making our neighborhoods places where everyone feels secure, welcomed, and at home. We hope you will join us as we celebrate our community!
