Virtual Presentation for Public Information and Comments – Old Bridge Road Realignment Project

The realignment of Old Bridge Road at Occoquan Road intersection is one of several transportation projects poised to reshape the Occoquan Magisterial District, improving traffic flow, safety and walkability. The Prince William County Department of Transportation invites you to learn more about this transformative project during a virtual presentation that will go live on Wednesday, March 24 at 7 pm. It will provide information regarding preliminary project limit, scope, schedule, and proposed improvements, as well as collect public comments.

The $11.5 million project will make improvements to several hundred feet of existing Old Bridge Road in each direction of the intersection. These enhancements are aimed at easing traffic congestion and improving vehicular & pedestrian safety by realigning the curves on Old Bridge Road approaching and going through the intersection.
The project will also add a dedicated right turn lane from Old Bridge Road onto southbound Occoquan Road and will install pedestrian crosswalks and ramps at all sides of the intersection. In addition, the project will include a new traffic signal.
Please visit the Department of Transportation Virtual Presentation page on or after March 24 to learn about this project and provide your feedbacks on the project.
